About Pintdle
Pintdle is a free daily game about bar drinks: real drinks, and you guess which one more people would order. Play The Pool Table for the full 15-round puzzle, or Just a Tipple for a quicker 5-round go. It's the same drinks for everyone, and a new day's puzzles land at midnight.
Where the drinks come from
Every drink in Pintdle was bought by a real person in a real bar, pub or restaurant, and photographed on the spot. They send in the photo along with the price they paid and the venue. Nothing is stock photography, nothing is generated, and nothing is staged in a studio. That's the point: the drinks look like drinks actually look when you order them.
Every submission is checked by hand before it can appear in a puzzle. Anything that isn't a real bar drink, or has no price or venue, gets turned down.
How a puzzle is built
Pintdle doesn't use made-up numbers. Every drink carries a would-buy score, which is the share of head-to-head votes it has won from players who have seen it. Those votes come from the two quick pairs at the start of every game.
Once a drink has been voted on enough times it becomes eligible for a daily puzzle. Each mode's rounds are put together so the two drinks in each pair are far enough apart in score to have a clear answer, and so no single drink turns up too often.
An independent project
Pintdle is an independent, free-to-play project. There's no sign-up, no app and no premium tier. It runs in any modern browser, on a phone, a tablet or a computer, with no plugins. The game works with a keyboard and a screen reader, and it never relies on colour alone to show whether a round was right or wrong.
Drinking responsibly
Pintdle is about what people order, not a nudge to drink. It's meant for adults who are of legal drinking age where they live. Plenty of the drinks are alcohol-free bar options, and you can play the whole thing stone cold sober.
